Auto-Camouflage (2017)
Auto-Camouflage does as the title suggests, and uses an algorithm to automatically generate a camouflage-like pattern, filling up the canvas. This is achieved through drawing circles around a point in a gaussian distribution, giving the rough sense of order that is essential in creating camouflage to blend in with its environment.
What is also interesting is the similarities between camouflage and algorithms: both seek to imitate and ‘blend in’ to their environments so that any distinction between the natural and the artificial becomes indistinguishable.
